Brutal, grinding music that ranges from captivating to torturous. The album ‘Concrete Glider’ is my favorite release from Somatic Responses, featuring a deceptively innocent opening track. Once that track fades away, you are presented with today’s featured track ‘First Day Back,’ at which point you start to see exactly what type of album this is. Despite having a relentlessly industrial feel, Somatic Responses tracks are often unique as they offer fleeting, melodic moments of relief.
